Pet Shop Boys have consistently been my all-time favourite pop group, and a writing duo that has influenced me deeply.
After some hundreds of hours of listening to their music, I felt I should make a collection of tracks I have always felt were true PetShopBoy-isms.
This playlist includes songs that sound to have been influenced by the duo, from artists as diverse as The Killers, Faithless, Madonna, Bee Gees and Hard-Fi, as well as by pop acts that were avowedly influenced by Pet Shop Boys (thanks, Wayne).
It also includes my own instrumental track “Exit Plan” from my album “The Time it Takes to Break Out of the Shell“.
